Description
This is a list of ICD-10 codes that are relevant for suicide deaths, that is part of a wider group of codes. This is the sub-section that relates to injury or poisoning of undetermined intent.
Methodology
The list of codes is available in the ICD-10 section on self-harm. The list was reviewed by clinical colleagues in the National Patient Safety team and were flagged as being relevant for suicide deaths.
Codelists are developed by a broad community of users for individual study purposes, which may or may not meet the needs of other studies. They should not be thought of as universal definitions of a particular condition.
